So all those voices need to be listened to to get an idea of the range of views.

But what PPS seem to be doing is targeting the 'silent majority' to elicit views that are more favourable to the interests of their clients. Given that the 'silent majority' are, by definition, largely indifferent (otherwise they wouldn't be silent, would they?) it is not too difficult to steer them towards expressing a particular view if sufficient resources are invested in doing so.Chris Hutthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01532451004057748734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-225087846795766487.post-74212301046969540742009-01-20T12:01:00.000+00:002009-01-20T12:01:00.000+00:00"bloggers and local activists are to be dismissed ..."bloggers and local activists are to be dismissed as a 'vocal minority' who do not represent the wider community (and just who does then?)"

OK - so in many cases there is an absence of anyone who can explicitly represent the wider community. Are you arguing that the voice of bloggers and local activists is the next best thing to a representative voice?

If that's an argument that bloggers and local activists should be listened to, you need to realise that it applies to people like the BNP as well as yourselves.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-225087846795766487.post-44839540821470588272008-12-18T19:22:00.000+00:002008-12-18T19:22:00.000+00:004242Chris Hutthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01532451004057748734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-225087846795766487.post-40234721514295270062008-12-18T17:58:00.000+00:002008-12-18T17:58:00.000+00:00At what age do you become wise?
